About Me

After a few years working in the stressful business sector, I soon realised that while I seemed to be quite good at it, the world of business wasn’t where I wanted to live my life. I auditioned and was accepted into LAMDA where I trained for three years as an actor. Unfortunately, at that point, a close family member became long term ill and I became their carer for several years.

During this time, I learned that whatever it was that I was going to do as my career, it needed to be something that truly benefitted others. Throughout this period, short term jobs and even the odd acting/directing role were the best I could manage. From mini-cab driver to marine surveyor, you name it, I’ve done it and it was this array of differing experiences that taught me so much about life. I’ve worked with young and old, rich and poor, and have seen first-hand the daily struggles we all have to deal with, regardless of status, money, or the lack of either.

I did an immense amount of research on different therapies, but Hypnotherapy stood out from the rest as something that could help me as I dealt with my depression, anxiety, insomnia and worry. Now I use it myself as part of my daily life and have been completely free from all these harmful issues for years.

I trained with the highly respected, UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy (UKCHH). It is the only training course in the country recognised by the British Psychological Society, due to its rigorous adherence to evidence-based practice who taught me the purely science-based application of Hypnotherapy combined with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Which I use in my practice today. I am fully insured and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), which means I am bound by their strict code of practice, so everything we undertake in therapy remains strictly confidential. It also obliges me to continue my professional development. This means I am always learning more about the latest techniques and developments in my field, so that I can give my clients the best, most up-to-date service possible.

Early in 2024 I was extremely honoured to be invited by world renowned psychotherapist, Barbara Godoy, to join Therapy Harley Street, an organisation based in Harley Street London, dedicated to professional excellence. As a result, in addition to my own private practice, I work one day a week at their splendidly well-appointed therapy centre in Harley Street itself.

I now live with my partner, who is a person-centred counsellor, and our three beautiful children, in leafy Essex.

I am honoured and humbled to be able to work in a field which truly changes lives and there is nothing better than seeing people transform their lives and reach their full potential.
